Dr. Gabriel O. C. Udu was appointed the new Director, Centre for Educational Services of Alex Ekwueme Federal University on 23rd August and took over the office on 2nd September 2024. The Centre for Educational Services AE-FUNAI oversees the Joint Universities Preliminary Education Board (JUPEB) and the Pre-degree programmes of the University. He is an experienced Administrator, Accountant, Banker and Entrepreneur. He is a Fellow and two term Council member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) Chartered, a Fellow and two term Council member of the Institute of Classic Entrepreneurship (INCEnt) and a Certified National Accountant.

He highly appreciates Prof. Sunday O. Elom, the Vice Chancellor, and other principal officers of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo for finding him worthy to be so appointed. He promises to do the University and humanity proud.
